The Center for Career Development was established at Duhok Technical University in the early second quarter of 2015. Its aim is to provide necessary support for preparing students and graduates for lifelong professional success through a variety of tailored activities.
Council of the Center
The council comprises:
- Center Director.
- Career Specialist.
- Program Coordinator.
- Grants Proposal Writer.
- Program Coordinator for Colleges and Institutes.
Center Units
- Career Specialization Unit: This unit works with students, graduates, faculty, and employers to enhance student skills and assist them in accessing employment opportunities through seminars, workshops, and programs.
- Program Coordination Unit: Responsible for coordinating and promoting all activities and events with students, graduates, and career development staff. It maintains the council's operation, student database, faculty database, graduate database, and company database.
- Grants Unit: This unit is responsible for writing proposed reports and applying for national and international grants for the center. It also prepares the annual budget and financial report.
Mission of the Center:
The center's mission revolves around empowering and enhancing the professional skills of both current students and graduates by providing necessary resources and specialized programs, preparing them as competent professionals. Additionally, the center facilitates specialized programs to connect students and graduates with industrial sectors, companies, and organizations, in addition to managing training opportunities.
